GOLF
The eleventh annual meeting of the Walwetu Golf Club) was held on February 33, when the cofnmittee reported that the 1920 season had been a successful one. There had been a considerable addition to the golfing strength of the club. The championship of the club had been won by 11. W. H. Gwilllam, and the ladies championship by Miss I>. IValters. The Atkins Challenge Cup competition was won by H. W. 11. G william. The president s prize was won by «Miss L. Walters and G. Cook. Monthly buttons jvere won by G. Cook (3). Mrs. Whitehead (1). Miss Arrowsmith (1), and Miss Walters (1). The silver ball competition was won by G. Cook. The following officers were elected for the ensuing season:—President, Mr. B. C. Kirk; captain. Mr. G. Cook: hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. W. Whitehead: committee, Messrs. A. <T. Hobbs, H. W. H. Gwilliam, Thomas. D. Jamieson, and Misses I>. Walters nnd A. E. Gaynor; auditor, Mr. L. Townsend.
