Miss Christine Smith, of the massage staff of Trentham Military Hospital, has rXed her position to poetise her profession in Wellington. Last week s'he was the guest of honour at sore al fareavell gatherings, and was bv the officer commanding with a copper rose-bowl from the members of the massage department of the ( ’ Miss Smith left New Zealand for service overseas in the early days of the war. and served as masseuse nt Pout de,Koubbah, Cairo, and in military hospitals >n England, returning with the nrs. Orthopaedic Unit to reach New Zealand, and taking charge at the Chalmers Hospital in Christchurch. Amongst many visitors to Havelock North from overseas are Dr. and Mrs. Hinds and their daughter Mary and two sons. They arrived by the Athenic, and are staying at Hillsbrook.
