STATE OF WAR REPORTED CANCELLED OIL CONCESSION TO BRITAIN Ry Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright. (Rec. February 27, 11.5 p.m.) Washington, February 27. It is reported that a state of war exists between Costa Rica and Panama over ~tlie boundary dispute. The situation is further aggravated by Costa Rica’s action in cancelling the British oil concession. Britain has sent a Noto and a cruispf to back up her demands. It ns not expected that Britain will take forcible action without notifying the United States, but such a notification has not 1 yet been given. It is understood that the" United States sides with Costa Rica, claiming that the concession was granted by the discredited ’Jfinoco Government. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
