CONDEMNED MAN TO BE

EXAMINED.

The Hon. E. P. Lee, Minister of Justice, stated, in reference to the public meeting held in Christchurch last night to urge the commutation of the death sentence on Reginald Matthews, that ha had already brought the case before Cabinet, which /decided that Matthews should be examined by two medical exports. Mr. Lee at once arranged for two experts of high repute to make the examination.
