ARCHITECTS’ CONFERENCE

By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, February 25. The conference of architects concluded to-day, when the first meeting of the new council was held- Officers were elected as follow President, Mr. G. R. Ford (Wanganui); hon. secretary, Mr. G. Young (Wellington); hon. treasurer, Mr., W. Peilding (Wellington). Various committees were also appointed. It was decided to refer the que* tion of the revising of the educational syllabus to the committee on education. The following were appointed a special committee to report to branches on th# question of the revision of the condition# of contract; the president and Messrs. Crichton, Swan, Chatfield, Mannings, and Page. It was resolved that the next annual meeting be held at IVanganui.
