SOCIALIST PROCESSES
WRONG PRINCIPLES FOLLOWED
STRIKES DISASTROUS TO WORKMEN
By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright. Rome, February 24.
The secretary of the Italian Labour Confederation has prepared an exhaustive report on the Socialist and Labour processes during the past two years. He says that the principles hitherto followed have proved to be wrong; that tho frequent strikes proved more disastrous to the workmen than, to the employers; that tho strikes in tho public services only inflicted hardships on the public without damaging capitalism; that when wages were raised the labouring masses, who were the largest consumers, were the chief sufferers. —Aus.-N.Z.
