PENDING PROSECUTIONS.
A case which will cause a considerable amount of interest when it comes on for hearing was mentioned in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, when Jrederick Johnson was charged with selling to Robert Maurice Ambrose, a Communist Programme of the Morlds Revolution, which encourages violence and lawlessness. contrary to the IVar Regulations Continuation Act. Rolxnt Leslie Stevens was charged with selling to Robert M- Ambrose a similar “Communist Programme.” On the application of Chief-Detective Ward the hearing of the cases was att-i-ourned. for a week. . Walter Nash waj charged with bringing into New Zealand the document “Communist Programme.of the Worlds Revolution,” contrary to the "War Reguwas further charged with bringing into New Zealand a document entitled “To the 1.W.W.,” a special message from “Communist International, which advised and advocated violence. The hearing of the charges against Nash was adjourned until Monday.
