An interesting address was delivered in the Victoria Hall, on Saturday, by Mr. J. King, of Timaru. The lecture was illustrated by lantern slides, and was the first of a series nf three which will he delivered in the ball. The lecturer dealt with the past history of Jerusalem, and its bearing upon future events, and quoted the Bible to prove that J be Kingdom of Israel which was once in existence with Jerusalem ns the saat of the king, would again he restored when Christ returned and was King of the whole earth. Tho president of the XVnirnrniia Cricket Association (Mr. F. Maiinsell) is presenting association caps to members of the ream which recently defeated the Gisborne team, thereby winning the Hawke Cup.
