BANK ROBBERY
OVER £2OOO STOLEN TELLER FOUND BOUND AND GAGGED Advice was received by the Wellington police yesterday that, the Murchison branch of the Bank of Now Zealand was robbed at 3 a.m. yesterday. The teller, Mr. W. Engall, sleeps on the bank premises, and he was found bound and gagged. ’ The keys of the safe had been obtained and a sum of £2085 10s. had been stolen. A Press Association telegram from Nelson conveyp practically the same information in the following terms— 1 "] he Murchison branch of the Bank of Now Zealand was broken into at nn early hour this morning. A clerk, Mr. Engall. was bound and gagged, and the cash was stolen. There is no trace of the thieves. Over .£2OOO was stolen/’
