A one-roomed "bach,” 158 Sutherland Road, owned by Frank Jansen, and occupied bv Frederick Henry Prentice, was, with its contents, totally destroyed by fire early yesterday evening. The fire brigade received a. ’ call at 6.20 p.m., anil at once proceeded tn the scene, but was unable to prevent the destruction of the place. The cause of the fire is not known. There was no insurance on the contents, and it was not known last night whether the building was insured.
