VOCATIONAL TRAINING
STUDENTS VISIT WIRELESS STATION. Some time ago a class of instruction in telegraphy under the vocational training scheme was established for the soldier patients at the Trontbam Military Hospital. This class is under the tutorship of an expert telegraphist and wireless operator, who devotes his time and service to the work gratuitously. Keen interest prevails among* the students under instruction, and steady progress is being made. On Friday afternoon, through the courtesy of Mr. Gibbs, Deputy Chief Telegraph Engineer, the class paid a visit to the wireless station. The intricacies of ‘tho- plant installed at the station were ‘‘■D fully elaborated, ns were also recent de- - ” volopments in wireloss telegraphy and telephony. Before departing, the vocation officer, on behalf of the men, thanked Mr. Gibbs for his interesting and instructive remarks and for the readiness he had shown to co-operate with the branch in promoting the vocational welfare of the disabled soldiers.
