THE MAYORALTY

A representative gathering of electors gathered at the Council Chambers, Karori, last night to meet Councillor L. M'Kenzie, a candidate for the Mayoralty. Mr. G. H. B. Burn was elected to the chair, and introduced the candidate, who briefly addressed the meeting, giving an outline of his past work and an klea of his future proposals. At the conclusion of his remarks, on the motion of Mr. Sykes, seconded by Mr. Whethair, all tliose present decider! to form themselves into a committee to work for Mr. M'Kenzie’s return. Mr. Whethair was elected district wcretery.
