Hastings, I'ebruary 16, The Hastings Chamber of Ctr’ iierce has resolved to support the Christchurch and Dunedin Chambers in their efforts to obtain ths Government’s coi.wnt to make this year’s income tax payable in two six-monthly instalments, the concession to be granted without restrictions, so as to place all income-tax payers on the same footing. In the course of the discussion it was emphasised that the collection of twelve millions in practically two months in income lax and under the compulsory loan clauses would result in serious consequences tc the industries and commerce .>f the Dominion.
