NEW APPOINTMENTS. (Rec. February 13, 11.5 p.m.) London, February 12. The King has accepted the resignations, on the ground of ill-health, of Viscount Milner (Secretary of State for the Colonies) and Mr. W’. 11. Long (First Lord of t'lie Admiralty). His Majesty has approved the following appointments:— Mr. AVinston* Churchill, to be Secretary of State for the Colonies. Sir Worthington Evans, a present member of the Cabinet without portfolio, to succeed Mr. Churchill as Secretary of State for War. lord Lee, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, to be First Lord of the Admiralty, in succession to Mr. Long. Sir Griffith Boscawen, to succeed Lord Lee as Minister of Agriculture and Fish-eries.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
