The U.S. and A. liner Bellbuckle, which left New York on December 15, arrived last night, and anchored ; n the stream. She wnl berth this morning if granted pratique at No. 2 Queen’s Wharf. I WAIPORI AND GARBETA IN P.ORT. Yesterday, the Wainori and the Garbeta, both laden with coal from Newcastle, arrived in port. The Waipori arrived shortly after seven o’clock in the morning, and berthed later at Miramar. The Garbcta- arrived later and berthed at the Railway Wharf.
TAIROA LEFT COLON. The S.S. and A. liner Tairoa, which left here on December 25, left Colon on Wednesday, en route to London, via, Boston and New York. RAUPO WITH COAL. The Scales barque Raupo was to ha-a sailed from Newcastle yesterday for Wellington. She has 1073 tons of coal on board for discharge here. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Mr. N. H. Mayo, has joined the Mapourika. as third engineer. Mr. G. H. Peters, third officer of the Arahura, has left that vessel, ’and joined the Mapourika in the same capacity, vice Mr. W. H. Reeve. KARAMEA AT LONDON. The S.S. and A. liner Karamea arrived at London on Thursday. She left here on November 19. WEST MAHWAH FOR NEW PLYMOUTH. The West Mahwah. one of the General Steamship Corporation’s fleet, for which Mr. E. G. F. Zohrab is local agent, is to sail to-morrow for New Plymouth. The ■ West /Mahwah has been lying in the stream for several days owing to the Wangaratta being on the berth at the Taranaki port. bYom New Plymouth the West Mahwah. will go to Australia. THE NEW WINGATUI. The ex-Gernrb.n steamer Antwerpen has been added to the Red JMnnel fleet. The vessel’s name has been changed to Wingatui. She was built .at Lubeck in 1914 by a German firm, and was handed over to the Shipping Controller after the armistice. She is purely a- cargo carrier of the shelter-deck type, and has a tonnage of 3080 tons. Her dimensions are: Length, 312 ft.; breadth, 42ft. 4in.; and depth, 18ft. Bin. The .Wingatui left the United Kingdom early this month for Melbourne and Sydney, via the Cape of Good Hope. This makes the ninth purchase made by the Union Steam Ship Company within a, recent period. OTAKI TO LOAD. The Otaki left Newcastle on Wednesday evening for Napier, Lyttelton, and Wellington. She is due hers from the southern port on February 1 and should s-iil four days later lor Boston and New York. MOERAKI DUE MONDAY. The Union Company’s intercolonial steamer Moeraki is due from Sydney on. Monday. She has 398 passengers aboard. The vessel will not visit Lyttelton, but is timed to leave here it noon on Thursday on the return trip. KORANUI LEFT DURBAN. The Koranui, one of the cargo steamers recently purchased by the Union Company In Jaajland, left Durban on January 6 for Melbourne and Sydney. The Koranui is of 1215 tons gross register, and was formerly known as the Cleopatra. THE CAPE PREMIER. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Cape Premier was to leave Natal on January 15 for Auckland, state, the “New Zealand Herald.” She wilH be due at the northern port about February 12. NORTHUMBERLAND FOR AUCKLAND. The Northumberland, en route from New York to New Zealand and Australian ports, left Panama on January 13. She is due at Auckland about February 3 and here a week later. WAIKOUAITI FROM AUCKLAND. The Waikouaiti, which has been discharging Home cargd at Auckland, left the northern port yesterday for Wellington She is due here to-morrow, and is later to visit Lyttelton and Port Chalmers. FOR NEW ZEALAND PORTS. The Piako is expected to leave Livery pool on January 29 for New Zealand ports, and will be followed about Jotauary 12 from Glasgow and Liverpool by the Tasmania. Both vessels will come to the Federal agency. The Rosamond will now sail on Monday for Greymouth and Westport.
