RUGBY FOOTBALL
MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEET. The first meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Rugby Union for the New Year was held last evening. Mr. W. F. Ilornig presided, and there were present Messrs. H. Buck, ,1. Griffiths, Tl. Jackson, J. W. Millard. It wag decided to erect a shelter fence along the north side of the Athletic Park and the work is to be put in hand immediately. A letter was received from the Wellington Cricket Association asking if the Athletic Park would be available for cricket next season. It was decided to reply that it was possible the ground would Im available for cricket, but that a definite reply would be given later on. Tho chairman announced that over £l9O was available for division among the clubs for their gymnasium funds. The Poneke Club receives £63 18s. 5d., Petone Club £4B 18s. 6d., and the six other clubs £l6 16s. 2d. each. It was decided to supply caps to the schools representatives in the coming season, and also to provide 20 caps for the senior representative team.
