TOLL-GATE FOR DAY’S BAY
HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL’S DECISION.
That time-honoured institution, the toll-gate, is shortly to be revived locally bv the Hutt County Council. Ihe cost of the upkeep of the Day’s Bay road has been exercising the council tor some time past, and at yesterday’s meeting it was decided to take the necessary steps to obtain authority to erect a toll-gate on. the highway.
