LICENSING COMMITTE
ADJOURNED MEETING. Some time prior to the last quarterly meeting of the Wellington Licensing Committee, William Hannafin, licensee of the Wellington Hotel, sold but to P. L. Firth, and the latter was given a temporary transfer. At the quarterly meeting of the committee last month, Inspector M'llveney objected to the transfer being confirmed, stating that he had received certain complaints which he desired to have investigated. The committee in consequence adjourned consideration of the matter until yesterday. When the committee sat yesterday, Air. J. O. Donovan, who appeared for Hannafin said that Hannafin had bought back from Firth the interest in the hotel, and would go into possession by the end ot the week. r This statement was confirmed by Air. H. F. O’Leary, who appeared for Firth, and the consideration of the retransfer of the license to Hannafin was adjourned to the next quarterly meeting.
