LOAN TO CHINA
FOR EXTENSION OE RAILWAYS.

New York, January 16. Chinese bankers have granted a loan of six million dollars to the Chinese Government for the extension of railways. The security given is the revenue of the Peking-Hankow railway, and the rate of interest is 8 per cent. The expenditure of the money and the supply of material will he under the supervision of the hankers. —Aua.-N.Z. Gable A««n.
