REFINED SUGAR
ADDITIONAL SUPPLY OBTAINED. Advice that the Government had been successful in its endeavours to arrange tor an additional supply of refined sugar has been received 'by the Minister of Industries and Commerce (the Hpn. E. P. Lee). The supply has been purchased in Australia, and arrangements are being made to ship it to New Zealand before the end of the present month. “It will help materially,” the Minister told a reporter, “to ease the shortage during File jam season, and will be the means of saving a large (amount of fruit that probably would otherwise be wasted.”
