The S.S. and A. liner Pakeha. which left London on December 6 for Lyttelton, has been diverted, and is now to call at Wellington to-morrow. Line, the Bellbuckle. en route from New York, was 2100 miles out at noon on Wednesday. The vessel is due here next Wednesday. PORT NICHOLSON'S MOVEMENTS. The Port Nicholson is to leave Napier to-night for Wellington, and is due hero to-morrow. After completion of discharge of her Home cargo the vessel will commence loading, later visiting Gisborne and Napier. She will return to Wellington to fill up before sailing about tho middle of February for London. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Dr R. L. Stone; surgeon on the Tofna. has left that vessel. Mr. J. Jeromson. fourth engineer of the Tofna. and Mr. W. B. Fordyce, sixth, have signed off the vessel's articles. Mr. H. 11‘Clure mining as sixth. Mr. W. P. Bryant has joined as fifth engineer. DURHAM FROM NEWCASTLE. The Durham is due here on Thursday from Newcastle. She is to load for Liverpool and Manchester at Napier. Bluff. Lyttelton, and Wellington. PORT STEPHENS WITH COAL. The C. and D. liner Port Stephens is due on Tuesday from Port Kembla. from which port she sailed at 7 p.m. on Thursday. with a shipment of coal. After discharge nere she will return to Australia to load for London. NEW STEAMER HURUNUt. The New Zealand. Shipping Company’s new liner Hurunul. 14,000 tons, built by Paylton. Dixon, and Co., underwent her trials in November, states an Auckland paper. The Hurunui is not equipped with a refrigerator. During this year the New Zealand Shipping Company will have three more new boats ready for sea. They comprise the Tekoa. Turakina, and tho Tongariro. They will be about 12.500 tons deadweight each, and will have refrigerators. MARAMA LEAVES VANCOUVER. A Press Association cable message . received yesterday states that the Marama sailed from Vancouver on Thursday for Auckland, via Pacific ports. The Marama is making a special trip in the Vancouver service owing to the dislocation of shipping caused by the stewards’ strike in Australia. She is due at Auckland on February 1. The Omaka will make another trip to Foxton on Monday, carrying case oil. The Alexander, due to-morrow from Nelson. will not go on the slip this trip, but will sail on Monday for Nelson and the Coast. The Flora is to sail to-morrow for Picton. where she will load for Onehunga. blm is taking cargo from here for New Plymouth, to which port she will go after visiting Onehunga. The Cape Natnl will not be hble to get aivay for Dunedin now until Monday. The Rosamond is due on Monday from Greymouth and Westport, and will return to Greymouth on Tuesday or Wednesday. The Nitokris is due from Newcastle on Monday. The Stella has been delayed, and will not arrive from Dunedin, until to-morrow. She should get away for Lyttelton on Tuesday.
