FATALITY AT PAREORA

.. MAN RUN OVER BY TRAIN. By Telegraph -Press Association. Timaru, January 14. 4 shocking fatal accident occurred -at the Pareora Railway Station this .evening. When the evening slow train going south was at the station, a man left it temporarily and tried to get on board lignin after it had started. He missed fSY fooling, fell between two carriages, and hoih his legs were mangled. An engine and van was sent from Timaru to bring the injured man to town, but he died just before being put in the van. He was only able to give his name as “Rennie” and “Wingatui.” Deceased was apparently about 30 years, of age, sft. 9in. in height, clean shaven, had brown hair, blue eyes, sallow"' complexion. and a scar on the lower right jaw.
