“PLAIN ENGLISH” ABOUT IT ESCAPE OF THE GERMAN FLEET By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright. .. London, January 11. Lord Alfred Douglas, in an article entitled, “Plain English About the Jutland Battle,” says that a German wireless code was discovered shortly after the fight began, and all the German wireless messages were, rapidly translated during the battle. He asks why these were not printed with the Report. The Government, he says, cannot deny that the translation of tho German naval code revealed the fact during tho actual fighting at Jutland that' Germany was in communication with some powerful individual at the Admiralty, and plans for the escape of the German fleet were devised through this means. —United Service.
