MELBOURNE HARBOUR DUES .
. INCREASES ANNOUNCED. (Rec. December 30, 7.30 p.m.)' Melbourne, December 30. Owing to the increased cost of labour and materials, tho Harbour Trust is increasing tho wharfage charges, the present rate of 2s. 6d. and 3s. 4d. per .ton being advanced to a uniform charge of 5s on goods from overseas. The tonnage rates on overseas vessel? have been advanced from a halfpenny to threefarthings per gross ton.. The chargcs lor sheds and overseas berths havo also been increased. The increases wilt operate from tho commencement of the new year,-—Press A6sn.
