A gas derived from, the dfcstructiv* dic-tillaiio'.t of straw is being produced on a small scale at the experimental farm of the- "United States Department of Asnculuira at Arlington, Virginia, says the ".T,yun>al Industrial and Bjisineirinj Chemistry." This gas iir.a been used for motor fuel, for cooking and illuminating purpWes, but its: commercial value lias not ye!, been determined.
