Masterton, December 27. • The -Wellingto.n-Wairarapa cricket match was concluded to-day, when Wai- , rarapa won after a great finish by one wicket. Wellington's second innings produced 201 runs, made in good style. Berry was top soore with a splendidly compiled 39, including five 4's. Bull played , particularly go«l cricket for 33, including four 4's while. Bromnei' gave a, pleasing display for 30. Alderslcy, Ronaldson. and Thurkell also batted wall for their runs. Wellington's' scoring for each wicket was fairly even, the fifth wicket falling for 103. Wairarapa's attack was \ good, and they missed very few opportunities of run-saving in the field. Wairarapa were left with 211 runs to get to win. The task was considered a big one, and with Bis down for 111 it was thought that the. deficit could not .be overtaken, but the tail wagged effectivet ly, wit'h tho result-that Wairarapa landed a one-wicket win.
