Tho brawn gelding is a natural stayer, and is a winner of the King Edward Mcnwrinl Handicap. Since 1911 Mr. G. D. Greenwood has furnished the winner of tho Greati Northern Dorby on three occasions. The Canterbury sportsman suffered a disappointment last year, when Hossini struck his colours to Royal Stag, but another bluo ribbon may, it is thought, como' hid way when illie Ellerslio race is through on January 1 next.
