PROTEST AGAINST, GOVERNMENT CONTROL YORKSHIRE MANUFACTURERS' OPINION London, December 17. The West Yorkshire Woollen Manufacturers' Association, comprising twontyfour cloth manufacturing (inns, has resolved that tho Government's retention of wool for two years after the armistice by fixing high reserves has been an unjustifiable interference with the natural courso,of trade, nnd is the principal cause of tho present calamitous condition in tho woollen industry, with tho result that thousands of 13rituh woollen'workers are already unemployed, and scores of thousands arc on Half-time 1 or less.
