Deceased, who was a returned soldior, hnd been engaged os n letter-carrier lit tlio Lyttelton ro9t Office for 6omo time. It is bolievod that iho poisoning was contracted through eating picklod pork, as ono of the Sale* children, who ate a piece of tlio meat, is now in Christchurch Hospital.
