BANKS COLLEGE
The annual prize-giving in connection with Banks College took place in the Masonic Hall yesterday afternoon, there being a very , large attendance of pupils, .tlieir relatives and frienda. The managing director (Mr. >H. Anioß) presided, and 'there were also present Professor Jlurphy, Mr. Foster (headmaster), and members o[ the staff. In the course of nn address, Professoi Murphy paid a- compliment to the principal and to Captain Duffy, the latlei having achieved a great deal in the phy stoal culture department. "It is a fine thine to wnrl hard and -win," he said, "and then bea one's honour* meekly, but it Is still fine to strive and lose, renounce without br coming bitter, and try again.
