INJUNCTION DESIRED
♦— • TROUBLE IN BOXING CIRCLES.' Great' concern was felt in Wellington boxing circles yesterday afternoon when it was'learned'that, mr application for an injunction stopping last night's contest! between Cook and Lloyd had been entered in ' the Supreme Court, on tho ground that Cook had violated an agreement with his former manager, It. Eyre. It is stated that the application was lodged, by Eyre, who says t(iat/ Cook'wns bound by an agreement to box under his management in all contests in' which he should participate. Kvre alleges' that this agreement has not been kept.
As it was impossible for His Honour the Chief Justice to hear i!ie application yesterday afternoon, an order has been made impounding the prize-money until the case can'be heard. Probably: His Honour will deal with the application this morning. ' Nothing was done in the way of prohibiting the two boxers id riieet bust evening. . .
