The gathering dispeVsed'in all 'directions, but the. police succeeded in arresting six of their number. ?The : arrested men were: . Jnnirs Grant, ' Sifmurl '.Tarvis, Harry Coleman. George' Peters, Charles illen'ry. Lawson, Slid Lawrence Joseph Taylor, and subse'onentlv five of them were relrased on bnl*. Thin morning they tvill_ appear in tlie Police Court charged with playing /hazards. The raid was conducted bv fjetectiv.' Trinklebank, Sergeant M'Ki'lvio,|and Constable Monro. .■
