At yesterday's meeting f the Wairarapa Hospital and Chnritablo Aid Board, Mr. R. B. Robertson applied on behalf of the committee controlling the Pongaroa maternity hospital to have the hospital taken over and administered by the Wairarapa board. The present accommodation, said Mr. Robertson, was not sufficient for maternity eases, and a ward-for surgical cases wns urgently required. The other members of the bonrd were not favourable (0 tlio hospital being takes over at present, but it was resolved th'it a committee consisting of Messrs. E. G. Eton, Fisher, Robortson, Oonsidine, ami Bolton should investigate the financial position nnd make recommendations regarding the futuro management of the hospital.
