CANADA'S HALL OF FAME

Canada, with its new national Hall of Fame, is trying to decide which of its citizens aro immortals (says the New York "Tribune"). The now Hall of .Rune is tni tho ntw Parliament Buildings at the capital, on tho samo floor with, tho chambers of the Some of Commons and Senate. Its .dimensions are about 300 by 30.feet. Tho main or Memorial War lower rests on pedestal steps with statuary at the base, and is divided from the great building by a broad vestibule. The Prince of Wales officiated at the laying of tho corner-stone of this tower last. September.

Tho namee of the entire Canadion Expeditionary Forces, with rank, duties, engagements, and records, gathered on two' continents, have been preserved in detail nnd assigned a nlaco in tho central column of this Canadian pantheon. The original estimate of the cost of tho building wns about .£1,000,000, "and tho hall was to bo ready for this session of 1919. Now, theso calculations have been abandoned, and ;£2,06f1,000 may .'not cover tho cost of the proposed carillon ohimes of forty-nine Bells and the war memorial symbols in tho irreat tower. ' Canadian material of the highest quality was used in the entire structure. A few pieces of coloured marble from Tennessee and a small quantity of dressing.6tone from Ohio, to be used for blends in the Hall of Fame, include all the building materi*l imported.
