VICTORIAN MINISTRY ACTS. Having fully investigated in Melbourne matters connected with tho Badak mining sensation,' the Victorian Ministry lias decided .to send a detective to tho Malay Peninsula to continue the inquiry. _ . For several wfceks the Crown Law Department .has been inquiring into the affair. The "Argus" says it is understood that 11 large" amount of documentary evidonco lias been examined, and a point has been reached whero it has become necessary to obtain information from the country in which the Badak •property is situated. It is proposed to investigate tho circumstances of the forwarding to Melbourne of tho report stating that valuable discoveries of tin had been made as the result of boring. The 'report of theso discoveries resulted hi tho sensational rise in the prico of shares. It is believed that any action taken by the Crown Law Department depends oil the inquiries to be made at Badak.
