At a free -wool sale, chiefly Puntn Arenas and Falklands, thnro was a small number of lota of West Australian merino, which was mostly sold at prices about 10 per cent, below Government Four sales' of free wool have been fixed for,the January . series, for which also cargoes to January 6 will be available.-Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. ■ The Bank of New Zealand has received advice from its London offico that the date of commencement of first series of wool sales is January 11. Priyatelyowned wools will be offered on January 13 19. and 25. and if required January 23. The second series commence on Ich, ruary 22. Facilities to offer nrivatelyflVaed wool will bo increased accordins to snpply available.
