A Press Association telegram from Wairoa reporta that Messrs. Klohardson and Company's steamer To Aroha waa caught by a wavo after crossing the bar at Wairoa early on Saturday morning, and washed up on tho beach. Sho was loaded with frozen 7neat from tho .local, freezing works for transhipment at Napier. It was hoped that sho could be refloated on the afternoon's tido. A light' swell was running, but no danger to tho, vessel was anticipated. . Later. Tho-To Aroha is still on the beach, and tho Koau and Tangaroa have been sent from Napier to' assist in refloating her. The Tangaroa herself mot with a mishap, being caught by a sea and wa»ued over the bar into tho river nutranon. The vessel camo in stern first, and, unfortunately, struck the eastern pier, stripping her railings from the Btanchoons at: ttfc •Stern, Apparently no other dn.m.aco'.was done.
