FIRE AT PETONE
A smart "save" was effected by the Peione fire brigade nt about 2.30 p.m. on Saturday, when an outbreak of firo was discovered in premises occupied by Mr. Thomson in Sydney Street. Constable Morrison gave the alarm, and within two minutes of the- summons the brigade was on the scene. Ihe sides of the buildimr were burnt, tho dnmnge in all .amounting to nboui) .£ls. Tho causa is unknown.
