SALE OF WOOL
THE AUSTRALIAN SCHEME,
The movement in Australia' for tho formation or a Wool Realisation Association is being watched carefully by tho Government and by representatives of the producers in.New Zealand. Thp Dominion may b* asked to co-operate with Australia •in this matter, and some informal suggestions in this direction have already been made. Any definite, suggestion of the kind will be carefully considered by the Government and by the Wool Committee, but it is' by ho means certain that tho scheme would do as much for tho farmers as the banks and financial institutions, supported by the Government's promised guarantee, are able to do. New Zealand is in a better position than Australia to arrange for the holding of wool. The fact that the greater part of Australia's wool is fine, whereas the bulk of New Zealand's wool is coarse, would make co-operation move difficult, since there would be some clashing of interest.
