LONDON TALLOW SALES
Messrs. Booth and Co., Christchurch, re-nort:-"Our London house advises by cablegram that at the tallow sales held on December 1, 1947 cauks were offered and 1159 casks were sold. The market declined somewhat for all grades except tho lowest sorts. They quote: Ediblo mutton 595. 6d.j edible beet. 705.; good mutton! 58b.; good beef, 585.; food colour, 65b. 6d.; no colour, 44b. 6d.; gut, 40s. Un-der-date November 2fi our Now York house cables that sales of city special are being made at 7i cents or better, and that tho volume of business was increasing."
