(By Arthur H. Adams, in the Sydney "Sun".) Of him no proud historian tell; He fought and in the war ho fell; He rests with kings—nnd it ia well. One of the multitude ho camo; Ho died unknown, untouohed by fame. ■ World-famous now, ho needs no name But, tranquil in these quiet gloom*. Amid the tall and figured tombs, A majesty this man assumes. He lies with conquerors and kings; But-what were they frdirtawdry things Against'tho glory on* man bringn? WJiat name was this this soldier bore?A name that was and is no more, Tho namo of him who won' the war. Ho comes at last to lils own place. .Ms lineage we prouttl'; traae— The soul enduring of our raco. in London's tall sarcophagus, He sceptred lies, anonymous. Mankind in him we honour thus. In'that great fane where memories brood By this is England's faith renewed— The manhood of the multitude. . Here.where our history began, Here where our raco its long courso ran, Entombed, enthroned there lies a Man! Here in the sacred shadows dim Proud kings and lordly captains grim A»alre from death to wowhip himl
