AVAILABLE SPACE LARGELY
INCREASED
By Telsgrnph-Presi Aajoolation-OpprriffLt (Ucc. December 5, 5.5 p.m.) London, December 3. the fort of London Authority, together with up-town warehouse-keepers, have arranged aggregate storago in London for about one million bales of wool, which compares with' an average storage of about 350,000 bales before tho war. It is hoped that this will prove ample storago for the trade, but if required the Authority is also prepared to store wool in the opon, proporly dunnaged and protected with tarpaulins to tho satisfaction of the underwriters' surveyor. Tho extra premium against the risk of damago by rain will bo half-a-crown per cent, per month, to bo declared if opon -storago is used.
Tim Australian I'mss Association learn 3 that this arrangement should po far tovards meeting the difficulty arising from the new clause in the Australian bill of lading, by which ship owners compel merchants to tako immediate delivery of goods from the ship's, side, whether storage iq available or not.—Aus.-N.Z.
