ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of shareholder* „r the Wellington Publishing Company W .?I held at tho Chamber of Commerce yester. day the Hon. J. G.' W. Aitkeu, chairman of directors, presiding. In moving the adoption of the annual report ajid balniice-shect, the chairman commented on tho high costs news™ mi proprietors were put to at the ure„.,,i time owing to the cver-uiomitlng wii.e, cliargcn, and the excessive prices ruling for printing paper. The paper shortage was less severe, but prices for 1921 cm. tracts were higher than ever, and n«™ papers were severely handicapped in onn sequence. A dividend at tho rato of 6 por cent for tho year was approved. The retiring direeUiru, Dr. 0. K Ansnn and Mr. 11. Williams,, were re-elected Tr were also the retiring auditors ¥»I,™ E. Hunt and D. It. Meiuies. ' On tho motion of Dr. Anson, seconded by Jlr. G. Johnston, a special vote of thanks was passed to the staff for their loyal service.
