Some figures indicating the oxtont to which the imported article is flooding tlio market so far as boots are concerned were given by the Prima Jlinistor last evening. A return recently furnished, ho stated, showed that for four months from July to October this year 49,509 dozfin pairs of boots, valued at .£492,450, had come from overseas. ' For the corresponding quarter of last year there w'cro imported 15,220 dozen pairs, valued at .£112,612.
