This machine is Hie result of tho expermenrnl work which lias been carried out by the nviaiSon department of Messrs. Victors sinco tho armistice. It is the first machine which hnn been turned out as the result of that experimental work, and from tflint pom tof view its cost far exceeds the amount of the prize. Fitted with landing wheels ns well as (loms, the machine can alight on water and run along the beach, and •Jhe when'.s also' onable it to surmount sandbanks in shnllow water, which would enpsize an ordinary seaplane. The fact that the Air Ministry has not withheld the. prize in this section of 'tho competitions has Riven much satisfaction to the industry, thoir previous decision to withhold prizes having had an adverse effect on the foreign demand for British aeroplanes.
