" The Garheta arrived yesterday morning- from Newcastle, after being delayed !" on-the journey- owing to'trouble with her engines. > The vessel, left the coal port on November.2s, at 8.30 p.m., and experienced fine weather until the evening or the 27th, when, at about 8 o'clock, n, thick fog was met'with. The fog lusted during . th"e whole of the night, but' cleitred carjy the next morning. A short time after tho fog had cleared-the Garbeta's engines 'brol'co down, and the vessel was brought to a standstill. Repair work was Immediately commenced on tho- low-presauro cylinders, which hnd completely broken down, and by tho evening the \es6el was able to proceed at n reduced speed. Fine weather was encountered "for the remainder of the journey.
