NEW POSTAL CONVENTION
VOTES OF COLONIES AND DOMINIONS SUSTAINED.
Madrid, Deceniber 1. The now Postal Convention.was signed oh November 30. The British Empire's delegate successfully advocated the continuance of a sound, conservative postal policy, and defeated a proposal to suppress the votes of the colonies and Dominions, which continue to he great independent administrations. All the American republics supported the proposal.— Aus.-S.Z. Cable Asm.
