Simla, December l.\ India went to the polls yesterday for the first time in her history. The. Non-Co-onersvtors made great efforts in cvorj constituency to prevent voters taking part in the olectious. Monv voters refrained from going to the polls through sheer fear. Only 20 per cent, of tho voters went to tho poll. Non-Co-operators claim a victory for their campaign. At' Cavnpore the Non-Co-operators proclaimed by beat of drum that voting was sinful, ami in other ways played on religious susceptibilities.—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Aesn.
