INCREASES PEOPOSED. Sydney, December 2. • Mr. Lang (New South Wales Treasurer) introduced in the Legislative Assembly a measure l'o provide increased stamp and death duties, by which it is hoped to raise JEtJOO.OOO. The new duties include twopence on cheques,, bills of exchange, and promissory , notcn—Press Assn.
