The paper says that hundreds of thousands sterling have been lost. Mr. A. J. Balfour, a member of the Cabinet, was the largest individual shareholder. .He invested i 60,000 in idle concern. His brother. Mr. Gerald W. Balfour, who was chairman, was also a large share-holder.—Aiis.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
